Thank you for the opportunity! I have two uses for this printer, if I were to win. 1) I'm currently working on a book based on true events during a tragedy in our family, one that has a very happy ending that came about through hard work, perseverance, and a lot of will and luck. During this event, as a single mother, I found there were no resources, no support, and family & friends really couldn't help because they couldn't understand. If this book helps one person, it'll be a success. We have earmarked a portion of any money earned towards charities that exist but are poorly underfunded. 2) Now that our family is at peace, my kids and are looking to supplement my income. We are each handmaking items (sewing, painting, carpentry) to sell online, through farmers markets, and craft fairs. It's been great teaching them starting a business, budgets, creating, and using our talents for the benefit of the family! They are 11 and 18 and amazing people!

I know EXACTLY what I would do with this baby! I would print out my portfolio. I am a scrapbook designer for hire and I would really like to print out in 8x10 a lot of my scrapbook pages I have made so that I can show potential clients what I am capable of, but to have them all printed as photos in 8x10 format is going to cost a small fortune. I don't have a small fortune! And 5x7 is really too small, since I want potential clients to be able to see the details. This printer sounds like it would be great for that. Not to mention brochures for my business and flyers and....and.... LOL

Thanks, Wendy - it was about time I started my blog!

This is a perfect topic for me, because my business, Prosperous Artist Success Coaching, TheProsperousArtist.com helps musicians and other creative professionals to make a prosperous living doing what they love.

My “best marketing advice” is of course targeted to creative professionals - writers, musicians, artists, performers, filmmakers, etc., but it’s general enough that any business can benefit.

It's posted at my new blog: theprosperousartist.com/blog/2008/10/23/best-marketing-advice-for-musicians-and-artists - check it out below.

As you can see from the initial generic look of the blog and self-designed branding of my current web site, I could really use some professional design help! And I would make regular use of such a fabulous printer, for all manner of promotional materials, including a beautiful banner to display at conferences, handouts for speaking engagements, great-looking business cards, gift certificates, brochures, product labels (CD's and DVD's), and shipping labels. I am a power printer user, and would love a power printer like this!

Thanks so much for this,
Wendy K

If I won this prize I would use it to kick off my new business. I'm especially excited about the logo and business cards. This week I found myself explaining to a mom in the grocery store how to cook kale so her family would eat it (crispy kale). It hit me that was the perfect time to have a business card to hand out for my soon to be healthy eating consulting business. However since I'm trying to start it on a shoe string I want to be making money before I spend it on things like a fancy logo.

I would use this spiffy uber-cool printer to "brand" myself by creating sales materials-business cards, brochures, class materials, etc. Having professional printing done is very expensive-I could do this all from home! Marketing is one of the most important aspects of any home-based business, and having a printer like this would make that task so much easier with fantastic, beautiful, professional results!

I want to write a blog post to enter the contest -- but I'm not good on the techie stuff. How do I enter once I wrote the blog post? How does the "contest" know I wrote it? Do I put something in the blog post? Please explain.

Also, can I write a blog post AND leave a comment @ what I'd do with the printer?

My printer is over 10 years old. It still works but it's getting harder and harder to find ink cartridges for it. To give you an idea of just how old it is, you can hear it from the other side of the house, screeching and blipping its way across the paper as it does its inky dance.

OH what wouldn't I do? This baby is going on the fireplace mantle! It will be passed down through the generations to be awed and admired and totally cherished. It will boldly go where no one has gone before - printing up oodles of marketing fliers and brochures without breaking a sweat! Sweet! That extra printer cartridge means just ONE thing: there is no excuse NOT to get my work done!

A logo? Fantabulous! My now-ex graphic designer decided that graphic design is just "not her thing right now." *sob* Can't get my blog launched without one! What is a girl to do? Win this spifferific contest of course!

OH Epson WorkForce 600 Wireless Multifunctional printer, extra set of full-color ink cartridges, paper, cardstock, business card paper, labels, envelopes and everything else I need to create a complete set of business collateral, topped off with Randa Clay's logo makin' brilliance: we are going to be as happy together as a cherry on a sundae, as white on rice, as a hog in a bog! You get the idea.

Best marketing advice I have received is that analytics only tell half the story...the other half is customer intuition.
PS...that Epson is sweet!

IF i won this prize I would give it to my dear husband who is starting his own blacksmithing/pottery business. His birthday is next month and this would be the PERFECT gift! He could use any help anyone has for him - we know nothing of starting our own business but we both think it is important to follow dreams!
Thank you,
Heidi

I'm not sure if the trackback will show, so I wanted to let you know by adding a comment, as well.

Thank you for this opportunity!

It would be so killer to have my own printer for business that I don't have to share with the husband and 2 rugrats who have recently discovered how to print Jonas Brothers pics off the internet and Headshots of wrestlers from WWE. Can you tell I've got a pre-teen girl and a wrestling-lovin' boy?
It would be great to know that when I printed work materials there would be ink in the printer cartridges and paper anywhere in the home office - anywhere!

Posted my best marketing advice on my blog - www.rightbrainorganizing.com

Thanks for the fun contest!
