I like to set aside some time at the end of my vacation time to get ready to come back to the real world. A vacation from my vacation if you will.

Sometimes that requires adding an extra day or so to time off from work, or coming home a day or two early to allow enough time to catch back up with things so you’re not swamped when you get back in the office or wherever your work requires you to be.

I enjoy managing my time to include checking on e-mail while on vacation and I notice myself checking less as the vacation unfolds!

My Dad liked to say that vacation was really just adjusting your work load so you could take a few days off.. basically you still have to all of the same tasks you just cram them in before and after. I would agree that spending an hour or two during the week of vacation can save a lot of time and headache when you get back! crossn81s last blog post..Eco-Gyms
