@Traci – I agree about ease of use. That’s why I always hated the Jeff Goldblum ads “It just works!” No Jeff, no it doesn’t!

@Cindy – I haven’t had any problems with Vista either (except for the one caused by Apple). I’ve always just seen my computer as a business tool, I honestly don’t really care what it looks like. Plus my “colors” have always been black and silver, so my HP fits my wardrobe perfectly

I am continually frustrated by Apple’s insistence on trying to “update” Safari and MobileMe on my machine at work just because I have Quicktime installed. As the IT go-to guy here, I have seen safari taking up space on just about every PC here because of it. Nobody uses it; it’s just there. Arrgh!

The only computer I've ever used has been a PC. I have only known one person to use a Mac and he had NOTHING but problems interfacing with the rest of the world. His network connections struggled in places outside of his work / home - and he had problems using his software anywhere but home. Didn't seem worth the hassle! I’ve never understood the Vista hate, myself. I think it’s better (and prettier, to be sure) than XP, and I’ve never had any trouble with it. But my heart belongs to Apple. All the components play nice together, and all the software is compatible, and they’re just so stunning to look at! Now if I could just get my wallet on board…

Nick, I'm also a PC! I have been tempted by Apple but I'm so used to PCs that I find Macs really tough to navigate. And I totally agree with you about the iTunes updates - they're really annoying. Love the article! I feel the same way. There is a snobbery with Mac and I can’t stand it. I like the choice you get with PC and I rarely have problems except with customer service people shipping me the wrong stuff and handling it poorly! (i.e. Dell) But that’s another story for another time! Thanks.
