Shhh! Please Don’t Tell My Wife…

Being involved with the Interweb for as many years as I have, I am surprised that it took this long to uncover my hidden past but the day has finally come. My only hope right now is that none of you blab about this scandalous video and it stays hidden from my wife a little while longer.

While watching that video you were likely thinking one of two things…
- Wow, that 100 push up challenge has left Derek really ripped
- Man, how did that lucky guy get such a close shave?
Well, there might have been a few other thoughts crossing your mind but we won’t talk about that right now.
You’re in luck if you were thinking about that close shave, as I just had an opportunity to test out one of the Schick Quattro Titanium Trimmer razors and will tell you how you can get a free sample of your own in just a minute.
Thoughts On The Schick Quattro Titanium Trimmer
With a few days of stubble ready and waiting for the trial run with the new razor, I naturally had to play around with the trimmer first. Being a guy, I am just naturally drawn to things that make noise and look cool…which certainly describes this razor.
Unfortunately, I normally keep a clean shave so there wasn’t much to practice on (it’s a good thing we don’t have a cat or dog) with the trimmer other than my sideburns; which are now nicely trimmed.
After the thrill of having a new toy subsided, it was time to get down to business.
Lathered up and ready to shave, I could not help but notice how heavy this razor feels in your hand. While some guys might not like that, I personally prefer it as opposed to the almost weightless razors that you often find in my drawer. This razor just exudes manliness.
The four blades of the Quattro made quick work of the stubble, with a nice smooth shave. The razor also features an edging blade on the end of the normal blades, which I attempted to use to further trim up my sideburns. Unfortunately, I found the edging blade requires a little practice as I ended up with uneven sideburns; however the handy trimmer quickly resolved that problem.
On the down side, I found the four blades to be a little bulkier than what I am accustomed to using. For the most part this is not a problem, although it did make the shave of the upper lip a little interesting. The only other thing I noticed was that a quick rinse in between each shave did not always clean out the hair from the blades but this did not present a problem.
Overall, I found this to be a worthy razor and it has become my choice for the daily shave. For those that maintain some aspect of facial hair, you’ll likely find the trimmer to be a great feature as well.
Pros
- Offers a nice smooth shave
- Four blades make quick work of shaving
- Weight of razor feels manly, not like you are using your wife’s razor
- Its got gadgets
Cons
- Larger size made shaving upper lip somewhat awkward
- Four blades seemed to require a little more rinsing
- Edging blade requires some practice (at least for me, lol)
