As you have likely noticed, unless of course you are reading only from your preferred RSS reader, there have been quite a few significant changes launched around the eMoms network today.
One of the most significant changes that has taken place is the rebranding of eMoms at Home to the new and improved Sparkplugging :: Thinking Big in the New Work at Home Generation!
In addition to the changes in the core brand, as well as the overall theme of the blogs, Dad Balance has also undergone a rebrand. After soliciting feedback from a variety of dads, we felt that the name Dad Balance may have been a little too limiting.
These dads wanted advice on balancing work and family, tips on how to deal with their toddler, and tips on building strong relationships both at work and home - which is pretty much in tune with what Dad Balance was delivering.
But they also wanted an escape, somewhere that they could go to get away from being a dad, business owner, or husband and be amused or let loose a little. They wanted…
The Man Page!
While you will still find much of the same content that has been provided as part of Dad Balance, I am also looking to venture off into more topics that might stimulate your mind in unusual ways - or might not stimulate your mind at all but just provide a break from the everyday stress.
As always, I am extremely open to the feedback from each of you so please share your thoughts about what you would like to see here, as well as what you think about the new name and the new look.
Hopefully everyone enjoys the new changes and will join me as I continue to build upon the foundation that was Dad Balance and develop an outstanding resource for all men - The Man Page!

Congrats on YOUR relaunch, Derek! I love the way your blog turned out - can’t wait to see where you get to go with this!
See you in May - finally!
I actually prefer the name “Dad Balance” over “The Man Page”. For some reason, the latter reminds me of Tom Arnold.

When I saw “The Man Page” I immediately thought of that show “Man Caves” on one of those DIY TV channels.

Congrats. You the man.

I actually have to agree with Michael. Not sure I like the name.

More time spent on digging deep in the issues that are unique to men - especially the stuff that doesn’t get discussed a lot, like men’s health, both mental and physical.
I do think that The Man Page is going to appeal to a broader public, but most sites that have names like that push beer and bikini clad women. I don’t know if that’s your demographic, but time will tell.
Good luck with the new layout. I will enjoy learning more about dads point of view and their families. Together we will make a difference.
Blessings and success..

I like it because it’s simple. I miss Dad Balance tho. Would you ever consider reworking the tagline to something that included “Dad Balance?” Whatever ya do, your content is great so I know you’ll go far.

Ehhhh, I’m going to have to agree with the others and say that I liked Dad Balance better. In terms of being more brandable, I think Dad Balance works better. I understand where you’re coming from and your reasoning behind rebranding, but can’t letting loose and being amused be part of the “balance” of being a “dad” also?
