I have an HP. It sucks. I mean, it’s okay… but I’m a photographer and the images that come from the HP are less than desirable. I also print a ton of my marketing material here. Or at least I used to. I’ve been outsourcing all of my proof photos and mktg materials because, aackk! I hate my HP All-In-Nothing Printer.
But I’m sure I’d LOVE an Epson!
This is actually way easy. My desktop is 8 years old and running XP. However, it is dying a slow death, and we are looking at new ones. However, everything is now coming with Vista. Normally, this wouldn’t be an issue. However, I have a Photosmart HP All In One printer that is 5 years old and works great. However, it will not work with Vista. We cannot afford to buy a new desktop and a new printer right now (so at this point, we have bought neither). That is why I would love this printer. It would work with my new desktop computer.
I absolutely need a printer. I am currently working from home as a consultant for a non-profit early literacy program. Additionally I am starting my own business Cutie Booty Cakes-diapers shaped like cakes. At the moment I do not have the ability to do color printing, scanning, etc. If I had this capacity I would be able to print my own promotional items, print my consulting newsletter, and fax. At the moment I cannot do these things and having recently invested in a computer I have a bare bones printer that doesn’t do much of anything. I have to travel to the nearest Staples 20 minutes away to do any of these things.
As a new business owner, consultant and busy mom having this printer would make my life so much easier and save me time and money-gas prices today are crazy!
Ok, here’s my sob story.
My printer is a dinosaur. Literally. I have this triceratops sitting in my back yard and it types out copies of my documents. Its like something out of the Flintstones!
Well, not really. But it IS old. And its cheap. It was one of those $99 printer/scanner/copiers from about 6 years ago.
I won’t even buy a color ink cartridge for it because the cartridges cost more than the printer is even worth.
So I can only print in black and white and half the time I can’t even do that. Its just easier to put stuff on a disk and take it to Kinko’s even though the closest one is 25 miles away.
But I can’t afford a new one which means I can’t print out my own forms, I can’t print off my court papers or my business files. Heck I can’t even print out coloring sheets for my daughter!
So I deserve this printer because I’ve been busting my derriere to try and get my business up and running. I was juggling a full time job, starting my own business, freelance writing, and a few other projects all while taking care of my kids as a single mom.
Plus I really, really, really want a new all-in-one printer. Please?? Pretty please?
(If the begging isn’t working, I’m willing to try bribery. Just let me know!)
You know how some people ignore the warning lights on their cars, well, I keep ignoring the cartridge jam errors on my printer…I just open and close the door, it re-sets and it seems to be okay. I know it’s only a question of time. When I need it most, will it be there? I hope so. Winning a new Epson Printer would certainly give me some printing peace of mind.

I’m not much of a whiner, and sob stories arent my style. in the whole spectrum of bloggers, i’m sure there has to be someone who needs it more than I, but i would like a better printer for some of the great digital pics Ive been getting and will need to print more for family soon with the kidlets birthday coming up.

Oh goodness, I need a new printer because I have a cheap husband who always buys used ones and then he wants to get the toner to refill the cartridge. Right now my pages come out really dark and I have to read under heavy light to make out the words.
When I have to print I go to the library but that does eventually add up. I want to be able to print out invoices and contract for my clients but I am too embarrassed to do it.
My business is just really starting to take off and buying a printer, while a necessity is not at the top of my list with one kid in high school that I pay for monthly.
I would love this new printer because one of the aspects of my business is printing items for clients and while we outsource most of the actual print items we design and good printer for short runs would be nice. We currently have HP’s but I love Epson. We’re also in the process of paying off some debts so this would be one less thing to worry about.

Ok, so I have a printer and well it’s alright but after following you fun girls over at Blog World Expo and watching the search for Wendy, I was compelled to come over and check out what this printer was all about.
Gasp. Need. It.
With my business I print A LOT daily. I print all my shipping labels, invoices and for every shirt that I make I print out the template for the initial. Seriously, this little printer is worked to the max. I would love a shiny new printer that FAXES so I don’t have to pay per fax again. My business is growing and I am finding that I have to fax more and more lately. The fact that it prints almost twice as fast as other similar printers is reason enough for me to “need” it. I am a one woman show here and anything to speed along the process would be a delight for me.
I have been looking at new printers for quite some time now and after watching the video on the Epson WorkForce 600 All-in-One printer I see that this is one that would be top on my list of choices. Has everything I am looking for and more.
Please choose me! I will sing the praises of Sparkplugging and Epson for a long, long time!
I need a new printer desperately. I’m beginning my freelance writing career and working on a book project as well. We are on an extremely tight budget, and my poor printer is barely functioning. But at least my dear old computer is still kickin’!
I need a new printer because mine is aging to the point that I hold my breath every time I hit the print button. One of these days is will just die and most likely I will be printing something that I need asap.

I NEED a new printer because my years-old HP printer just puked ink all over my desk.
We had a lightning storm in our area not that long ago and I lost everything – desktop, phone, fax machine and my printer. We are using an older desktop and printer, plus my laptop but to print something out, it takes a very long time and it’s not wireless so I can’t print from my laptop (which is faster than the desktop). UGGHH! It is so frustrating.
My printer has brown stains on the cover– I’m thinking it’s coffee. Though I have colored ink in the dang printer, it won’t print anything colored. My kids think it’s theirs for printing out video game cheats or strategy tips, and my daughter is mad that she can’t print her colored Barbie designs she made on their website. Yea, I NEED a new printer that is all mine:)
Okay…where do I begin….first off, I’m a year old with blogging and I cannot believe how amazing it is! WOW! I would have given my right arm to be apart of something so big and cool! But I need my right arm because I have 5 kids and a business to run and a blog to keep up!
My printer is OLD, ugly and big!!! AND…..It’s an HP. It’s working only because I pray each day that it will keep going…it’s working only because of miracles. It makes this horrible sound like sandpaper rubbing back and forth…you should see the print! 1/3 of the document is invisible! I just added ink…what a waste! Only prints in faded black. I need-need-need the ALL in ONE! My business works off of scanning, printing, faxing, etc. My scanner…an HP, has completely deleted itself out of my computer. Just up and left me! My fax is broke because my sweet twins poured their MILK IN IT! (Thank goodness they’re cute). With my business I help people write and publish their family stories and without good working equipment I cannot offer the services they need and I cannot offer the quality that they deserve. That is how I bring in a second income and I could do a whole lot better with this amazing piece of equipment….just in time of the holiday season too. I can’t even imagine the impact it would have on my business and my family! I need to go now….my tears and sobbing are ruining my keyboard and unless you’re giving away a new computer that would not be good!

Ooh, that printer is hot. I have no sob story about spilled liquids or chewed cords; the printer we have at home is in working order. But the darned thing is intended for photographers–my boyfriend is one–and so the ink costs way more than I ever thought we’d be paying for some colored goop! I just want a decent, small printer that I can throw cheap remanufactured cartridges into, not one where it costs $60 when the ink goes.
Okay, I really could use a printer, and I’ve got one fantastic reason … I don’t have one. My parents have printers in their offices, and whenever I need to print something, I have to email it (or a link) to one of them, or put it on my little flash drive and sneaker-net it down the hallway. Trying to start a freelance writing business without a printer is, um, problematic!
And, well, that is one cool, very cool printer!
I was doing just fine, using my old HP for all of our home documents and my work invoices. Until it suddenly gave out on me a few months ago.
No problem, right? We can afford a new one. And we can get one with a scanner this time.
But since my husband brought home the new HP, it has been a nightmare…
Problem 1- It eats up ink cartridges like nobody’s business. I should figure out how much we’re investing in ink each month. I’d bet we’d be devastated.
Problem 2- Every time we change out a cartridge it makes us go through steps to reallign everything. Bummer. Doesn’t HP know I don’t have time for this?
Problem 3- The computer hardly ever recognizes the printer! Argh! Almost every time I want to print something I get an error message and have to go through steps to reinstall the printer, even reinstall the drivers. What a pain in the *%#@!
So if I’m in a hurry to print an invoice for a client? “I’m so sorry. I’ll have to have Hubby take a look at the printer again, and I’ll mail it to you as soon as I can. Or can I just e-mail it to you?” It’s embrassing.

We just bought a new printer about 4 months ago (3rd one in a year) because my husband believes that he can only find the best bargains at the military base. But he buys the lowest price stuff, which is junk.
The cartridges cost more than the printer. I’ve put off buying cartridges because we can’t afford them. I’m printing in black & white only. Forget printing photos. I’d need a bank loan.
I can only print when my daughter is awake because the noise wakes her up. It’s a cross between a garbage disposal and a rocking washing machine. So yes I’d love a new printer.

I have an old HP All in One that messes up all the colors(yellow prints out as orange/pink) and leaves a ink smear line through every line of text. And I have to use this printer for college. Hopefully I can just borrow someone else’s.

My printer fell off the shelf and stopped working.
I have gone through as many as three cheap printers in a year in my small home business. The last one bled black all over the counter and some merchandise. It was like a printer crime scene for CSI.
I need a new printer because my current one is posessed. It turns itself on and spews out unnecessary and unwanted pages, by the time I can get it shut down it has used all the paper. It usually requires unplugging and plugging it back in to stop it spewing pages. The unnecessary waste includes cartridges as well as paper, but finances have not allowed me to replace this beast.
I bought a new computer and my old printer isn’t compatible with Vista. Help!
The printer I have now is four and one-half years old and is limping along in pitiful condition…I would not be surprised if it dies any day now!

Well, the printer I have is just a photo printer basically. I need a printer that does more in order to do graphics and illustration and print out quality business cards, etc. I graduated recently from a Commercial Art program and want to start a home business, but just don’t have the equipment! Hi, Cabarrus Pet Society is a non-profit business that takes in stray dogs and cats . All animals are in foster homes until adopted. The city lets us us use their property on Saturday morning to bring the animals out for people to see. We do online applications and my sister does all the medical, pre-qualifications, and paperwork from her house. We found homes for 218 pets last year with all volunteers. But, it would be wonderful to replace our decrepit printer. It gets a lot of use.

My printer (epson) is a great little printer (color 670) but is older and it is difficult to get the ink for it. I would love to have the new updated printer! I have 8 gradnshildren and it would be fun to do things on the printer with them!

When I was between houses (living w/ my parents), My printer stayed in storage for 6 months. Now, the only part that works on it is the fax. My mom gave me her OLD printer from, like, 1989, and so I’ve got 2 enormous printers to do the job of one. I’d love a new, good printer!

My old printer broke and I haven’t replaced it with one yet.
Why do I need a new printer? Blame it on a bat. Not the baseball kind, the flying mouse kind. One got into the house a couple of months ago, came back to my home office, flew around the ceiling a few times and then landed on my head. While I was trying to swat it off, I fell out of my chair and my foot got hooked under my printer table. When my dogs saw me on the floor, they thought I wanted to play, and they were jumping all over me and I was trying to get up and find out where the bat was, and the printer hit the floor. My warranty does not seem to cover attack by bats. Anyway…that’s why I need a new printer.
I have a printer that is on the verge of a nervous breakdown.. you have to hand feed each sheet of paper a special way. if you dont do it just right it either eats the paper or starts violently adjusing its ink cartrage back and forth so hard that it has and will nearly throw its self off the file cabinent. And if you want to cancel a print.. good luck. It holds a grudge and doesnt alow any thing to print, except when it wants to, so it could at any minute try to start printing … See above for details on that adventure.. So yes I would dearly love a new printer.
I have a old printer. It ok to print forms but does not scan. It does not print photos very well or have any built in memry card slots. It makes shakes and makes noise when it prints. My cats attack it every time I use it. Thank for having this contest.
