Most FTP program these days have an automatic setting that is default by nature so many of us don’t need to pay attention to this at all. But in case you didn’t know, there are two ways or modes to upload a file. ASCII and Binary. Typically, ASCII should be used to transfer CGI, PHP, HTML, Text files etc. At times you may be specifically asked to upload a PHP file using Binary format – this is often true when a script is encrypted.
Image files and even PDF’s should be uploaded in Binary format.
Like I said, 99% of the time, you won’t have to mess with this but sometimes when you upload an image and it looks all scrambled or cut off somehow, check the upload mode. Make sure it is in Binary or turn it back to Automatic and re-upload your image again.
That should take care of the problem.

After reading this and realising what to do, it actually fixed my problem. My header was scrambled, and I just couldn’t figure out what the problem was..It was the FTP uploader. My webhosting gives you a choice of two. One works and one doesn’t. Thanks for the tip.
