Shama Hyder gave a terrific presentation at BlogWorld Exp 2008 on Facebook. Not only did she give us a ton of tips on how to use Facebook, she invited a couple of guest speakers, including Mari Smith, up to share their expertise as well.
Some of my takeaways were:
1. Be yourself and build relationships, but don’t post anything you wouldn’t want a boss (or your mom) to see.
2. Utilize the Facebook Page feature and the Groups feature to build your brand and your business.
3. It’s all about communication and relationships.

I just put up a post on my blog all about creating and promoting your Facebook Page. I think we’ll see a surge in this feature before long as more people reach that 5,000 friend limit!
Wasn’t BlogWorld fantastic?! It was certainly one of the best events I’ve attended in this genre – well organized, excellent content, and great vibe… oh, just like Facebook!! hehee
