Today I’d like to put you in the spotlight. Ok, ok, I will admit I’m just really curious about you! Many small business owners today are pretty tech or rather Internet savvy. You may not think of yourself as such but you are! I am often amazed by how much my fellow entrepreneurs know about tech and the Internet. What I’m really curious about is…

What email client do you use and why?
There used to be a time when I was a 100% Thunderbird gal but today I’m almost all web based. For my primary email I use Google Apps. Yes, I like the way it works – a lot but it’s not because of any love affair with Google or anything like that. My biggest reason for using it is because it’s accessible. Anywhere, on the PC, Mac or phone. That is the biggest ’selling’ point for me.
What about you? Are you an Outlook person all the way? Google Apps fan like me? Thunderbird geek? Mac Mail all the way or some other cool tool? I can’t wait to hear from you on this one.

I am all about the Mac Mail. Having my calendar, email, address book, to do’s all sync together with mobile me and actually work is just amazing.
That’s awesome Bob. I love it when you can access things anywhere.
I’m all about Gmail. I have several “domain” email addresses and feed them all into my Gmail account so I am able to send and receive all of my email in one place.
The filtering and labeling options are amazing, but I think the best thing about Gmail is their spam filter. I hardly EVER see spam–maybe 1-2 per day (I get hundreds of email each day).
They’re always coming up with some new improvement, too. I use the Google calendar, too, so the integration is great. And, as you mentioned, being able to log-in anywhere is GREAT!
Hey Kim, I’m often amazed at Gmail’s spam filtering as well they are quite accurate and I’ve not had too many false positives over the years.
I use google apps and gmail as well. I used Outlook for a long time, and got tired of wrangling it all the time. When I got my iPhone (recently) I completely migrated everything to Apps. I couldn’t be happier!
I love Gmail! I just started using it this past year. I’m hooked and I absolutely LOVE that it’s web-based. I’ve been moving a lot towards web based services, the more I can access from remote locations the better!
It is quite amazing how well Google Apps works isn’t it?
