I don’t really care who or why I was un-followed…when my numbers look funny I want to know if it’s because I was un-followed, or for whatever reason.

I also stumbled, great post.

I think the whole follow/unfollow because they follow/unfollow me defeats the purpose of Twitter. It is about connecting with people. Sure I love it when someone follows me, but it doesn’t break my heart to have someone unfollow me.

It’s funny I got this notice, just as I logged into twitter and noticed someone unfollowed me.

It doesn’t bother me because I unfollow people at times too

I’ve often wondered this myself as I see conversations focused around unfollowing and making sure they unfollow right away. I can’t be bothered.

The only time I was concerned about who unfollowed me was when I got notification from whom I thought was a very good eBay friend that she dropped me. The Twitter drop was the only clue as to the end of our association, and not even the courtesy of an email as to why. Sort of like a text-message kiss-off, welcome to the 21-st Century.

That depends. If someone just starts follow me out of the blue one day and unfollows me another, I wouldn’t care. If it was someone that I’ve been talking to for a while (usually also in other ways other than Twitter), I’ll wonder why.

Then again, this is based on the assumption that I actually know who unfollowed me. I don’t really check that stuff. Besides, I know glitches do happen. I’m a programmer. I should know better.

Heidi…you can send them a message @ – most accounts are likely set up to see that message.

Sometimes not following back is an oversight and if you @ them, there’s a reason for them to take notice and follow you.
