Business Brainstorming Anxiety

Tonight I have spent some concentrated time brainstorming a project and to be honest I was getting nowhere. For a little while I felt pretty anxious about it.
My rule for brainstorming is this: If I don’t come up with an answer – I’m probably asking the wrong question.
I decided that in this case I was trying to force an idea where one just isn’t supposed to be had right now.
So I’ve tabled the project indefinitely. The moment I made that decision, it occurred to me that I have a lot to deal with right here, right now. Why was I trying to hatch something new?
Anxiety released. Peace returned

But I need to learn how to focus better on what I am currently doing like you did instead of following the rabbit down the hole

I think the best advice I was ever given (so far) was that when the juices aren’t flowwing it’s time to take a break and step away. You can’t force the creativity (as you said!) and the minute I realx and start to focus on other things that’s when everything starts to flow. Thanks Kelly!
