This continues my Cross Blog Conversation with my friend and business partner, Lynette Chandler of Tech Based Marketing. She has asked me:
How attracted are you to gizmos, gadgets and tech? Is it something you’ve grown in to or fell into?
Hmmm… I’ve always had a little geek in me where gadgets and gizmos are concerned. I remember when I was a kid, my neighbor got one of those electronic quiz game toys and I couldn’t get enough of it. I loved anything you held in your hand and pushed buttons on.
I think I romanticized gadgets for a long time because I couldn’t afford them. A few years ago I got a Palm PDA and it felt like Christmas – but after just a few days I was bored with it and ended up selling it on eBay soon after. It was a bit disenchanting for me.
Now I know that it isn’t the gadget that matters so much as what it connects to. Today I treasure my BlackBerry Curve because it keeps me in touch with Twitter and email.
My only real love for ‘tech’ comes in the form of Wordpress. I love digging into the code and learning new things about php and css. That is probably ‘tech light’ to most serious techies
Lynette, I’ve got a great question for you next: You just launched Blog Energizer, a new resource that helps bloggers keep their blog active and exciting. What tips could you share with me about a successful project launch?
