Fair WAHM to WAHM disclosure, this post is all about inviting you to come join me at Mom Masterminds ;)

In the summer of 2004 Alice Seba and I launched Mom Masterminds.  MM is a private mentoring and networking membership for work at home moms who want to build an internet based business or who have a business already that can benefit from a strong internet presense.

When Alice approached me with the idea, I have to admit - I wondered just how may moms would be willing to pay for access to a forum and learning resources.

I heard it said all the time, ‘WAHMs don’t have any money to spend.”

Well, I knew that wasn’t true.  I watched WAHMs spend money on direct sales start up kits, advertising and websites all the time.  But it was true that few WAHMs were spending money on information products or mentoring. Despite that, Alice believed that moms just needed the right opportunity presented to them.

As with most everything else, Alice proved that she was right.

Mom Masterminds has been an amazing experience.  Whatever I thought it would be like going in - it was a hundred times better.

I have met and made fast friends with so many incredible women.  Someday I think I would love to write a book about the women of MM.  It would be a fascinating read for sure.  I doubt that I could ever capture the full flavor though.  To really understand what MM is all about, you have to BE an MMer.

  • Businesses have been birthed.
  • Partnerships have been forged.
  • Affiliates have been multiplied.
  • Support has been provided.
  • Encouragement is always available.

Mom Masterminds has changed some in four years.  Last spring Alice decided to refocus her attentions on a wider IM market and sold me her interest in MM.  Our long time technology & marketing support provider, Lynette Chandler, stepped up to partner with me in providing our members with regular learning resources. To our great pleasure, Alice can still be found giving her advice on the MM forum.

MM is about to go through another change.

During our first year, Alice and I introduced an opportunity for our members to achieve life time paid up status.  We called it ‘Graduation’.  If a member stayed with us for a period of consecutive months (12 months at first, later it grew to 18 months), we ‘graduated’ her and set her up with lifetime access to the forum and resource center.  This turned out to be popular and we decided to continue it - however we knew we’d eventually close the door on that opportunity.

The time to close that door has come. In fact, it’s closing now.  You’ll hear the final click at midnight this Friday, August 8th.

Why are we doing this?

It makes good business sense.  And it is crucial for our members.

It’s time after four years for many of our learning resources to be updated.  Audios need to be recreated.  Videos need to be re-recorded.  Tools change.  Practices change.  Trends emerge.  Marketing tactics that were cutting edge in 2004 are ancient today.  If we don’t keep our Learning Center up to date, MM would become a relic - and that will not do!

So we are making a this change and others to ensure that MM stays on the leading edge of internet marketing advice and tools for work at home moms.

Other changes include no longer permanently archiving all of our learning resources.  If a resource has high ‘evergreen’ value, it will be added to the Learning Center. If it is more ‘trend driven’ and subject to change, it will be available for the month it is introduced and then removed.  This will keep us up to date and encourage members to consume each month’s resource right away - making the best use of the membership.

Probably the best change from a new members point of view is this:  A price drop :) Our monthly membership fee is dropping from $39.97 to $24.97.

I’m geeked about giving MM the tweaks and improvements it needs to continue to be the incredible resource it has been for over hundreds of moms and I want to extend an invitation to you right now.

If you’ve been craving a supportive learning environment, business mentoring and access to top notch resources - Mom Masterminds is waiting for you.

If you want to get grandfathered into the graduate program - join before midnight tomorrow.  You’ll pay $39.97 for 18 months and then be done - forever to enjoy free access to the site.  Honestly, I think every internet marketing mom with long range goals should nab this chance while she can.

If you don’t read this before Friday ends - that’s ok.  I still want you to come check us out!  We offer a seven day free peek.  You can experience everything that MM has to offer for a whole week.  I’m sure you’ll fall in love with MM like everyone else does and sign up for your paid membership when the week is over.

I can’t wait to see you on the inside!

I learned a lot of about a certain someone that took your course and she now gets gazillions of impressions on her site and makes lots just from advertisers.

I signed up for the 9day course. I must admit that the price and length of time keeps me away. Not that it’s not worth it….IT IS!…It’s just a good chunk of change for a long length of time for some of us.

Anyways, congratulations on your accomplishments!!

It is costly. And you have to be ready personally, professionally and financially. I hope you give our seven day peek a go :) I think you’d love it!

I spent a while on the outside looking in and wondering what everyone was always raving about! For those of you considering MM, I must tell you that our sales have grown astronomically since I joined. It is a joy to know that I always have a place to go and ask questions and where people are truly concerned about my success. To say that the membership price has paid for itself over and over again is an understatement!

I wrote this about MM two years ago and now, two years later — I mean every word — even more. MM is worth every single penny!

“I was just thinking tonight about how differently I feel about my business this time around…

I really feel confident that I’m on the right path, and though it will take time and hard work, I will eventually become the success I know I am meant to be…

Then I asked myself — what is different this time (compared to the other times I have tried to market my coaching practice and/or put up a website)?

The Answer: Mom Masterminds.

I joined this forum, not certain if it would work…(I wondered, “Could I really get good support & solutions online?) But…I figured I could always drop out if I didn’t use it…and I would get the cool downloads anyway…

But from the moment you all greeted me electronically, I knew this was no ordinary forum…

It’s just been unbelievable.

I’ve gotten my questions answered, my website reviewed (many times!), ideas panned and applauded (where appropriate) and most importantly - my butt kicked.

I just love this place.

I love that I can run here with any question I think of, or any idea that pops into my head - and I’ll get great answers (even if it’s not always what I WANT to hear — it’s usually what I NEED to hear!)

I love that we all have to pay to be here, because I am convinced that it truly does ensure our commitment to this forum, to our own success, and supporting each other.

It’s great that I don’t feel alone in building my business anymore…and I don’t have to bug my husband with all of the nitty gritty details either…

I trust you all - which leads to me trusting myself…I know that if my ideas totally stink — you’ll tell me — therefore I can move forward with confidence.

I want to succeed with you…therefore, I am motivated to keep taking action for my own success…

I want to achieve the goals I’ve posted here…so I continue to take action. (I often find myself saying “I told the girls I would do it…so I have to do it!”)

I just wanted to say “thank you” to Alice, Kelly and all of you ladies. This is just what I needed!

Oh yes, one more thing that I LOVE about Mom Masterminds is the Joint Ventures that naturally come out of the relationships that I have formed in the group. I mean, I would NEVER have the amount of subscribers that I have to my newsletter without Mom Masterminds (it only took a couple of weeks and it’s up to 350 & growing every day!) This fall I look forward to creating many more win-win Joint Ventures with “my MM girls.”

Well I was one of those moms who spent nada on mentorship prior to Mom Masterminds. BUT…as I thought about it I had probably spent over a $1000 dollars over the years on memberships in business organizations like chambers of commerce. The benefit I received from all those after hour mixers, glossy magazines and morning seminar breakfasts was at best minimal.

No membership has been as effective at helping me move my business along towards my goals as my MM membership.

MM offers practical, smart, timely advice, when I need it. Best of all the networking and friendships I’ve made here have been wonderful for me and my business!

I hesitated joining MM for a long while because my business wasn’t completely online.

But I’ll tell you, I was probably checking out the sales page every couple of weeks thinking — “but it looks like it’d be so cool!”

Finally after spending way too much money on other resources and realizing that much of what I was learning could be tweaked and applied to my business too, I bit the bullet and joined up.

It’s been incredibly helpful. I’ve made some good friends, set up some very strategic partnerships and my head is about to explode every time with all the great learning resources there.

I’ve never looked back or questioned the $$ investment but I regret that I didn’t join sooner, that’s for sure. I think had I done so I would have actually saved money because I wouldn’t have purchased some products that I didn’t need, etc.

Another MM fan here. :-) You are right Kelly, you really can’t understand the value until you’re a member. You just have to trust and sign up.

Kelly,

When I signed up for MM, I found it to be quite the community. From people who already have a thriving business just being supportive, to other Moms who wanted to start a business(like myself).
The support and rescources available from MM are invaluable. I am so grateful for its support and I can’t wait to see the new and improved MM.

I see a lot of messages from Women who constantly struggle with their businesses, not knowing what to do, who to trust and where to go for real help. All I can say is, MM will change you! You’ll begin to think outside the box, more importantly, outside yourself (and we all know that can sometimes be the biggest problem - ’self’, LOL!

Glad to hear your changes with the learning center. That is the main reason I joined for a month but after the first month I decided unless it was something constantly changing it wasn’t something I could afford.
I’ll be glad to rejoin and check it out.

But Debbie, it was always changing. We have always (from day one) been adding a new resource every single month.

I sure am sorry you didn’t realize that at the time.

Our sales letter said it and we always announced every month’s course via the mailing list, the forum and the website.

I went from a SLAVE of 5 retail stores, to running my business completely online. I believe that would not have happened if it weren’t for MM. But the BEST part is that MM didn’t do it for me, I was pushed, prodded, provoked, helped, encouraged, and had my very own cheering section. I would love to welcome anyone to our MM Family!
