Well I love google calendar and also a regular appointment book, but another simple device I use is my…..OVEN TIMER!! If I know I need to stop what I’m doing in say an hour to make an important call I set my oven timer for an hour. Of course if you don’t work from home you could buy an egg timer or something similar!

Jody & Brooks, Yes! I still use notepads too. I keep my long term to do lists on NetVibes.com but work from shorter to do lists on paper each day.

There's still forgetting to write something down, forgetting to check something, forgetting to charge the battery, etc. I rarely forget my engagements because I'm still young, not so busy, and check my email compulsively. This is a great post and got me thinking about the subject too. I'm also managing about 30 things a day and find that the best combo is a mix of Blackberry-synched alarms when I'm out of the office accompanied with the Old-School notebook that Jody mentioned. The notebook remains a valuable companion. It's interesting to me that kids today learn and read completely on electronic devices and I'm sure this will carry through to their professional habits as well. Have you ever tried utilizing the reminders in Google calendar? I have mine set up to give me an email reminder before an appointment. It will also give me a popup reminder (as long as I have my calendar open). I loooovvvve Google Calendar. It has given me much better control over my days! Kellys last blog post..Life....

I REALLY need to get me something that can send off reminders, my husband uses his cell phone and it really helps him.

I actually had him set a reminder for my Pocast Bootcamp class because I know I would simply “forget” about it if he didn’t.

I think it’s not so much the digital or non-digital tools that keep me from forgetting appointments. It’s the degree of importance I give those appointments. And often there simply are too many appointments or too many things I have to do. Cutting back helps a bit.
