One of the blogs I follow in my Google Reader shows off newly released Wordpress Themes every day (I guess they multiply while we sleep) and I have to admit that 90% of them look pretty much like all of the other themes that already exist out there but I keep an eye out anyways because you never know when you’ll spot something you like.
Today I spotted the Rebel Magazine Theme. I think my son (who is wanting to learn Wordpress) will like working with it. It’s masculine and clean.
He took one look and asked ‘where do they get that gobbly-gook text?’. So I searched and discovered that there is a gobbly-gook (Lorum Ipsum) generator.

That is a very sleek design. It looks like it would be easy to customize the colors. I like the way the photos are worked into the posts as well.
Love it! I have an idea for an online magazine for women that I want to roll out in the fall and I think this will be a great theme for it.

The “gobbly-gook” lorum epsum text has been used for decades by designers as placeholder text for layouts. Derived from Latin, if memory serves me. For some reason we designers always called it “greeking” copy. Just a bit of trivia for you!
