Sparkplugging is continuing our tradition called ‘Spark an Idea Thursday’. Each week we’ll be sharing some great ideas for a topic of interest to our readers. We invite you to grab our image and carry the tradition through to your own blog! If you do, please link back to this post so we know where you were inspired!
This week we’re Sparking an Idea About A Favorite Blogger
One of my favorite bloggers is Scott Ginsburg. You may know him as The Nametag Guy. Or you may have never heard of him. If not, I encourage you to check out Scott’s blog.
To sum up Scott’s blog in one sentence: He speaks about standing out from the crowd and making a name for yourself.
Some of the titles of his recent posts include:
- 8 Ways to Make the World Say YES to You
- The Five Most Important Words in Marketing
- How Much Name Equity Do You Own?
- 9 Words to Eliminate from your Entrepreneurial Vocabulary
- 11 Sure-Fire Strategies for Getting New Business to Come to YOU
You get the picture. I don’t need to regurgitate what Scott talks about; you can read it for yourself. For me, this blog is very timely and poignant. I see so many direct sales consultants all trying to look alike; all trying to have the same replicated web sites; some clamoring to sign up with sponsors who promise them a free replicated site (even though it will look remarkably like all the others on her team).
In order to be successful in your direct sales or freelance business it’s vital to be unique – to offer something that the competition isn’t. It is for that reason I enjoy following Hello My name Is Scott.
