Like Barbara I started my very first business several years ago by taking an assessment of my skills. I ended up freelancing as a writer and event producer when my kids were toddlers. Eventually we wanted to buy a house and needed more income, fast so I took a position. I've been working FT ever since.

Since meeting Kelly and Mom Masterminds last year I've started up the writing biz again while I develop a more sustainable full time online business.

The ongoing challenge - TIME! It can be tiring balancing a demanding full time job with small business responsibilities in the evening and on weekends (all weekend!).

But that entrepreneurial bug Kelly mentioned in this week's WAHMTalkRadio.com program keeps me energized!

Taking inventory of skills was just how I started my first online business back in 1998 - I was a whiz at finding anything online, a recruiter friend of my husband's asked me to help find him resumes, and I haven't looked back since. 10 years ago that was.....and one of my businesses still is in Internet recruiting today.

Best wishes,

Barbara
