Hi Kelly,
Rock on, I LOVE my BB Curve. :)
I also love paper though, so I use a little of both. Most everything scheduling-wise is in my BB, but I have a small (russell+hazel) tabbed notebook I keep in my bag with me for:
writing ideas, meeting notes, phone log (notes I take on the phone when I'm out and about), printed copy of my calendar, and a section for ideas and inspiration.
I love paper too (I'm a very tactile/kinesthetic person), so I use this little hybrid system and it works well! I then enter notes and such into the Journal or Memos in my Outlook (which I sync with Google).
Best of luck with your system! :)

Thanks for all of the encouragement gals!

So far so good. It feels sort of like when I quit smoking. I keep reaching for it and thinking 'doh!'

I can totally relate to what you are saying about pen (or pencil) on white paper. I even write a lot of my articles that way and then take the time to type them out. Just something zen about it :0)

I still haven't gone to an electronic planner, but I am home most of the time and haven't really seen the need for it quite yet, although I can see some advantages.

Maybe someday I'll kick the paper addiction, but probably no anytime soon!

Kelly,

Yes, I had to do something similar and not use my planner either. However, I made a slightly different compromise for myself. Instead of the planner, I decided to use a spiral notebook to write down my to do list for the day. I choose to use a spiral notebook because it gave solved my issues with the planner. The spiral notebook gave me more room, which is what was one of my biggest issues with the planner. I am still allowing myself to keep the "sensation" of pen to paper (which I like as well). And the information is still in one place.

I realized that the only other thing I was using my planner for was for scheduling appointments however, I realized that I didn't mind going digital for that piece of time management so I use my Google calendar for that.

So, I have now a system has worked really well for me.

And then when I am all done with the paper and I don't need it, I can recycle it as well.

I give you kudos for doing what is comfortable for you and works best for you.

Goodluck with that Kelly. I am digital everything but I have to have the paper to guide me through the day.
"The issue is this: I have loved and probably always will love the sensation of a pen in my hand on a clean sheet of paper." ME TOO!

Oh Kelly I know how you feel. It would be so hard for me to let go of my 'old fashioned' organizer. But having so much going on, it just makes sense for you to go digital. Good luck! Keep us posted.

You can do it, I have faith in you ;-) It will take some time to get used to not having the trusty paper organizer but having everything digital will be so much easier for you. Go for it!

Go Kelly!!! You can do it! :) It will be a huge change, but I'm sure you'll find yourself being even more productive. And hey, you're saving some trees and that's always good too!
