Oh yeah, I go with it. Sometimes it's like a stall in my brain, or a recovery mode. I had a really bad one a while ago, and had to step back from everything to get some perspective. I didn't schedule "me" time! I took a little "time out" and felt refreshed after a shift in focus. *deep breath* ahhhh....

I don't fight the funk. I think it serves a purpose. Even God took a day off from creation Kelly!

I find that some great ideas come after I allow myself a funk. I even gave myself permission to go to the book store and NOT work. I read books. Imagine that!

And I had a great time and an awesome idea popped into my head that I set about implementing today. :)

I've felt that way the past week too! It started last Friday, but it was partly because I didn't feel that well. I then I watched those opening ceremonies, which I really enjoyed. I then spend a lot of time in front of the tv over the weekend.

I'm starting to get it back together now though! Yesterday I wrote up a little plan of action for the next few weeks and I think that helped me get back into things again.

Plus, tomorrow we are going somewhere fun and we have something planned for next weekend too!

I can so relate. Tomorrow starts my summer vacation! I'll be back the next day. I'm spending one weekend at my sister's cottage. Although this won't give me tons of downtime, at least it will be a respite from work, the Internet, and being indoors so much this summer. Balance is getting harder for us to achieve with the 24/7 Internet life. Perhaps even small snatches - a day at a cottage, an escape into watching the Olympics - will help recharge mind/heart/soul batteries at least a wee bit!

I think you did absolutely right by trimming down your schedule.
I think it is important to listen to the needs of body and brain. I do the same (not at the moment, because I am having vacations, but when at work): I cut down my to-do-list. There is no use in having one which you can't keep up with, it's only frustrating. When I cut it down and I notice that I get everything done on it, it gives me the power to add up things on my list - step by step.
Just my 2cents,
Ulla
